Skype is an ideal medium to use when the client perhaps has difficulty with new situations, because of anxiety around leaving their home. Sometimes people who live in different parts of the country would like to become a client because of an expertise that I have, or because they want to see a counsellor outside their area. Others may have been my clients in face to face sessions, but have moved away. They have felt comfortable working with me, and would like to continue to have counselling sessions. Skype then gives an opportunity for them to work with me.
